Capital Distributors was appointed as exclusive sole distributor for KDK, the Japanese brand of electric fan in 1996.
Since then, it had taken the KDK brand into Vietnam, Brunei, Bangladesh, Laos and Maldives.
In Singapore and Vietnam, KDK products can be found in all major mass merchandise stores and over 100 island wide electrical shops. It collaborates with M&E consultants, government agencies and developers to provide air moving equipment and ventilating systems.
Our Story
The Birth of KDK: The company was founded as Kawakita Denki Kigyosha, an engineering company in the electrical industry.
The company began mass production and sales of the "Typhoon-type" electric fan.
Registration of KDK Trademark: the 1st KDK trademark was established.
Development of Ceiling Fan: The 1st ceiling fan was developed and launched in Japan
Development of Ventilating Fan: Company's first Ventilating Fan with shutter type went into operation
Established Osaka Denki Seiki Co. Ltd and became a member of Panasonic Group, later renamed to Matsushita Seiko Co. Ltd. A new KDK Trademark was registered in 1960.
70th Anniversary: Produced a special Desk Fan as a memorial gift to celebrate the anniversary
Capital Distributors was appointed the sole distributor for KDK in 1996. Together with Singapore, it expanded the brand into Vietnam, Brunei, Bangladesh Laos, Maldives and more.
Matsushita Seiko Co. Ltd was renamed as Matsushita Ecology Systems Co., Ltd. and its Head Office moved from Osaka to Kasugai in Aichi.
Launch of N30NH: Development of the first slim back motor electric fan in the world.
Capital Distributors marked KDK's 100th anniversary by giving 500 free fans to needy seniors residents in the Central Singapore district, which has the highest concentration of seniors in Singapore.
Expanded to Vietnam Capital Distributors opened a subsidiary KDK Vietnam Co. Ltd to exclusively distribute KDK in Vietnam.

In celebration of Singapore's 60th Birthday and KDK's 115th Anniversary, Capital Distributors gave back to the community by making a cash donation and gifting 100 sets of HL19S, a 2-in1 DC stand fan to our seniors.
